Wahpeton excels in education. Small class sizes, a safe learning environment and an extremely low dropout rate prepare students of all ages for success.

In the Wahpeton school system, students get the best of both worlds. Wahpeton public schools are large enough to offer more electives than rural schools, but small enough to allow everyone to participate.

WAHPETON PUBLIC SCHOOLS: LEARNING TODAY, LEADING TOMORROW
Wahpeton offers kindergarten through twelfth grade in a public education system. We have four buildings that include two elementary schools, a middle school and a high school.

Each year, Wahpeton High School graduates about 100 students. Our attendance record translates into a future workforce with strong values, dedication and reliability.

Wahpeten schools offer a wide range of athletics such as football, volleyball, basketball, tennis, track and swimming. Other student organizations include journalism, speech, debate, art and drama.

There is something for everyone, ensuring Wahpeton students are well-rounded and ready for the journey ahead.
